Yesterday I turned 28. But even though that is getting so close to 30, I’m totally OK with it. Lately I have been feeling such satisfaction and gratitude about where my life is right now. I feel like I am doing exactly what I should be and want to be doing, and that I just want to strive to be doing everything I am currently doing as best I can. I am definitely so blessed, and feeling so much optimism and excitement for the future!
I had the most perfect birthday I could have imagined. Since it was Veterans Day, Evan had the day off work, so our day started off with the three of us cuddling in bed, and Evan and I gushing repeatedly about how sweet and amazing our kid is. :) (We joke about being strangely obsessed with our child, I hope this is normal :) )We ran some morning errands and got Subway for lunch at my request. Then I got to do something I’ve always wanted to do – I took my laptop to Starbucks and got a crazy iced vanilla coffee drink and played on my laptop for more than 2 hours, dreaming and brainstorming for my business and just generally reading whatever I felt like. It sounds silly, but since I also am Connor’s primary caretaker and run my businesses from home, I never have the freedom to just pick up, get out of the house and doing something like that. To be by myself for multiple hours with no responsibility and no work deadlines and some iced coffee was heavenly!
Our night ended with my favorite Tombstone pizza and a movie :) A big thank you to my wonderful husband for making my birthday everything that I wanted….oh AND he surprised me with a gift certificate for a pregnancy massage – YESSS!
And another thank you to all of my family, friends and clients for all of the birthday shoutouts - I appreciate you taking the time to think of me on 11-11-11! :)
